Earth Day Celebrations
Earth Day was celebrated in style. Many families and their children enjoyed the day with many activities and shows. CELCOR was one of the many organisations that participated in Earth Day celebrations at Ela Beach on Sunday 22 April 2007 with their families.
The celebrations was organised by WWF, U.S. Embassy, Coca Cola and other local partners.
Some activities undertaken were the clean up of the entire Ela Beach, Earth Day Competition and general information awareness. Key highlight of the day was Governor General, Sir Paulius Matane's participation in the clean up of the beach.
